When is Thought Leadership Needed?

This requires investigating a bit deeper into the maxims "Give the people what they want" and "The customer is always right".

Thought Leadership is needed when there is an audience who wants a benefit you can provide yet they limit the benefit by how they think you should give it to them. Your expertise knows a new way that isn't what they expect.

By strategically leading an audience to embrace your new way (Your Thought Leadership Position), you can also build loyalty, engagement, follower growth, increased sales, and market share.

Using the internet for this leadership separates your content from the “fluff” copycat content that gets drowned out in the crowd of similar voices. Instead of being lost in the herd, your message gets heard. Having the skills to do it well means you can draw from your creative inspiration to develop a powerful, unique message and voice that is seen as distinctive, resonates with your prospects and moves people to positive action and results.

And what if you want those benefits but don't yet have a special way - or Thought Leadership Position - to lead people to? Strategic Thought Leadership can help with that. It offers methods of Insight to discover what people would love but nobody has invented or articulated yet as well as methods of Inspiration for accessing the creative imagination for inventing it. Finally, methods of Impact bring it to life in effective media. By "effective" I mean it gets a stronger response, whether that means faster audience building, more leads, better conversion, or higher sales.

So when you hear "Give the people what they want" think "Give them what's really important to them in a way they don't expect ... and lead them to embrace this way and expect it in the future in order to get more value."

When you see "The customer is always right" think "They are right in terms of their higher values but may not yet know how to best satisfy them." and "They are right to desire what they want but they will likely want even more once I teach them to set new standards based on what I can offer."

Creativity

Creativity

This should be fun. Thought Leadership Studio focuses on the creative aspect. It’s the “Inspiration” corner of the “3 Eyes” Triad: Insight, Inspiration, and Impact. So, this is more like play than work. This is more like when Albert Einstein daydreamed about riding on light beams while looking out the schoolroom window than it is like learning calculus.

A Mindscape Journey

A Mindscape Journey

Let's take an imagination journey to the far corners of our collective mindscape to find “hidden human reserves”, the normally untapped capacities psychologist and philosopher William James referred to in his famous essay The Energies of Men.

Strategic Thought Leadership Coaching and Consulting

The Thought Leadership program helped transform our messaging in the marketing and sales process. By structuring the conversation about next level up values we were able to talk about the big picture of the organization and how our service helps support that. - John Mulvey, founder Digitalecho.io

Such an amazing and creative way to help figure out how to make what you do and what you want to give and share with the world successfully. Chris and his team have “thaut”fully and creatively created something really unique to help people market themselves and their brand better, so that they can reach the people they want to reach and beyond. - Kimi Hugli

Of the many professionals I've had the pleasure of working with over the years, Chris is easily the most skilled at detecting trends, working with his clients to intersect major opportunities in the marketplace, and developing communications and marketing strategies that realize those opportunities. Added to his success as a business owner ...Simply nobody better, in my honest opinion, than Chris to pioneer such important and (literally) influential work." - Boyd Stough / Founder / Espy Revenue

I learned so much and I now have a whole new perspective on how to put my business out there in a way that draws exactly the right clients.-Dianne Shaver, Pitch U, The Art of the Pitch
